Aviation Technical Support was formed in 1990 to fulfill a need to supply quality aircraft maintenance and technical support to the GA industry, after the demise of ANSETT airlines a need for Quality training in Victoria was realised and ATS formed "Gold Aerospace Training Academy".

ATS directors have many years of aviation engineering and training experience and fully support an ISO training system for the continued safety of aviation in Australia and other countries, where training is undertaken.
